Stoker Rules is coming to Amazon.com in August of 2025. It will initially be available in paperback and Kindle formats. An audiobook version is in the early stages of development.
Book notes from Dan: Hey there. Thanks for your interest in Stoker Rules! This is the fifth novel I’ve written but will be the second to see print on Amazon.
Stoker Rules is currently in the final editing stages and early reports from beta readers look very promising. I couldn’t be more excited.
The idea for Stoker Rules came from a couple of nationally published short stories I wrote back in the late 80s/early 90s. One was written for Under the Fang, an anthology edited by bestselling author Robert R. McCammon. Under the Fang was a sequel of sorts sponsored the Horror Writers Association (HWA). It’s based on the world of McCammon’s They Thirst, in which vampires completely overrun Los Angeles. The premise of Under the Fang is that vampires have taken over the entire world. My story in the anthology is called “Behind Enemy Lines” and is the first of two stories that I informally call my “indestructible vampire” stories.
The second “indestructible vampire” story that inspired Stoker Rules is called “Slice of Life” and appeared in 100 Vicious Little Vampires, an anthology edited by Robert Weinberg, Steven Dzemianowicz, and Martin H.
